Residential Structure Fire In Pebble Beach

Monterey, CA…– At approximately 7:22 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2016, Pebble
Beach Community Services District Fire Department/CAL FIRE responded to a call for a residential
structure fire on Broncho Road in Pebble Beach (Monterey County). Pebble Beach responded with
assistance from Cypress Fire Protection District (FPD), Monterey Fire Department, and CAL FIRE.
There were a total of 5 engines and one ladder truck, with about 25 firefighters on scene.
When firefighters arrived at scene they located a small fire in the residences attic. The fire was
swiftly contained to the area of origin and extinguished, with no fire extension into the rest of the home.

Firefighters also removed smoke from the home, which prevented further damage, and allowed the
occupants to safely return to their house.

There were no injuries as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Pebble Beach CSD and Cypress FPD partner in cooperative agreements with CAL FIRE for fire
services. Pebble Beach CSD staffs two engines in its district 24/7 with four firefighters per engine, one of whom is a paramedic on each engine. Pebble Beach CSD also staffs one ladder truck in its district 24/7 with three firefighters. Cypress FPD staffs two engines in its district 24/7 with four firefighters per engine, one of whom is a paramedic on each engine. Cypress FPD also staffs one paramedic squad in its district 24/7 with two firefighters, one of whom is a paramedic.
