Pelosi on Confirmation of Patti Ross as VA Assistant Secretary for the Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after the Senate confirmed by unanimous consent Patricia Ross, Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Speaker, to serve as Assistant Secretary for the Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs at Department of Veterans Affairs:

“The unanimous confirmation of Patricia Ross to serve as VA Assistant Secretary for the Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs is a joyous victory for America’s veterans and their families and caregivers.

“Patti Ross is a champion of our veterans, whose ironclad commitment to those who have served is in her DNA. Her strong command of policy and fierce advocacy on behalf of our military heroes has earned her the respect of Members on both sides of the aisle. In her new role, this experience will serve her and the country well, as she fights to ensure that all who have served in uniform have a voice in the halls of Congress.

“On behalf of the House, I congratulate Patti and wish her much success. And I look forward to working with her to achieve our mission: to ensure that, just as we pledge to leave behind no soldier on the battlefield, we leave no veteran behind when they return home.”
