Monterey County, CA…Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, May 16 through May 22 – Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: Pfeiffer Burns State Park: May 17
One lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 1 at Pfeiffer Burns State Park for tree work from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Nepenthe (South Entrance) – Ventana Entrance: May 18
One lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 1 from the south entrance of Nepenthe to the south entrance of Ventana for tree work from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Nepenthe Entrance – Post Office: May 19
One lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 1 from the Nepenthe entrance to the Post Office for tree work from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Palo Colorado – Garrapata Creek Bridge: May 20
One lane closure will occur along northbound Highway 1 from Palo Colorado to Garrapata Creek Bridge for tree work from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Yankee Point Drive/Mal Paso – Rio Road: May 16 – May 21 One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound.

Highway 1 from Yankee Point Drive/Mal Paso to Rio Road for utility work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Highway 1: Soledad Drive: May 17 – May 19 There will be full closure of the on and off ramps along northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Soledad Drive for electrical work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 1: Sloat Avenue: May 19 There will be one lane closure along northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Sloat Avenue for sweeping operation work from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Southbound Fremont Street: May 17 – May 20
There will be full closure of the offramp at southbound Highway 1 and southbound Fremont Street for utility work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Highway 1: Northbound Fremont Street: May 17 – May 19
There will be full closure of the offramp at northbound Highway 1 and northbound Fremont Street for electrical work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 1: Casa Verde Way: May 18 – May 20
There will be full closure of the off and on ramps on northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Casa Verde Way for electrical work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 1: SB Del Monte Avenue: May 19 – May 20
There will be full closure of the offramps at southbound Highway 1 and southbound Del Monte Avenue for electrical work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 1: State Route 218 (Canyon Del Rey Blvd.): May 19 – May 21 There will be full closure of the off and on ramp lanes at northbound Highway 1 at northbound State Route 218 (Canyon Del Rey Blvd.) for electrical work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 1: Tioga Avenue: May 17 – May 18 One lane closure will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101 at Tioga Avenue for drainage cleaning work from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 1: Sand Dunes Drive: May 20 – May 21 There will be full closure of the offramps at southbound Highway 1 at southbound Sand Dunes Drive for electrical work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 101: Airport Boulevard – San Benito County Line: May 17
One moving lane closure will occur along northbound and Southbound Highway 101 between Airport Boulevard and the San Benito County Line for spray operation work from 7 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Highway 101: San Benito County Line¬ – Dunbarton Road (South) May 18 – May 20 One lane closure will occur along southbound Highway 101 from the San Benito County Line and Dunbarton Road (South) for drainage cleaning work from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Highway 101: Route 68 (John Street): May 16 – May 21
One lane closure will occur along southbound Highway 101 at State Route 68 (John Street) for utility work from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Highway 101: Southbound West Laurel Drive: Now – June 7
There will be full closures of the southbound on and off ramps to Highway 101 at West Laurel Drive for reconstruction work.

Highway 101: Main St./Chualar Street – Little Bear Creek Bridge, Salinas: Long-Term Nighttime lane closures and ramp closures (including median and shoulders) will occur along northbound and southbound Highway 101, between Main Street/Chualar Street, Alisal Road, East Market Street and Little Bear Creek Bridge in Salinas for paving and electrical work on the roadway and ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will be working in the evenings Sunday – Thursday.

Highway 101: Arroyo Seco Road – Airport Boulevard: May 19
There will be one moving lane closure along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Arroyo Seco Road and Airport Boulevard for spray operation work from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bardin Road/East Alisal Street: Long-Term
Intermittent construction work will continue along Bardin Rd/East Alisal Street for water utilities work from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Traffic control will be in place traffic control between Bardin Rd./E. Alisal St./Margaret St./Sycamore Way. Construction work may impede traffic inclusive and adjacent to the main arteries of Bardin Rd. and E. Alisal St. Crews will be intermittently working along the median, shoulder, and intersection areas within these construction zones with intermittent single lane control on Sycamore Rd. The 300 block of Sycamore Rd. may be subject to one-way traffic control and even road closure, with a detour via Margaret St. to Afton Rd. and Bardin Rd. to E. Alisal Street.
