Santa Cruz, CA…Are you planning a visit to Santa Cruz County this 4th of July? Please also note that there are no fireworks shows in Santa Cruz County this year.
Due to the pandemic, several of Santa Cruz County’s signature 4th of July events have been put on pause. We will provide a list of July 4th celebrations below and will continue to update this list with any additional events we may see. How ever you chose to celebrate, please remember to stay safe, pack your trash, and DO NOT use fireworks. All fireworks are prohibited in the City of Santa Cruz, even “safe and sane.” Violations will incur triple fines for the 4th of July weekend. In addition, Santa Cruz County had a devastating fire season last year and we ask everyone to please refrain from use of fireworks this year. Thank you, happy 4th, and #LetsCruzSafely!
Aptos’ World’s Shortest Parade
After a year of hiatus due to the pandemic, the beloved World’s Shortest Parade will be back this July 4th in Aptos! Celebrate Independence Day in Aptos at the “World’s Shortest Parade,” which starts at 10am on July 4th at the corner of Soquel Drive and State Park Drive and will continue to Trout Gulch Road. For everyone’s safety, participants and spectators are asked to follow the state and county guidelines.
Scotts Valley 4th of July Parade and Flyover
Scotts Valley is holding an in-person 4th of July Parade and Flyover on Scotts Valley Drive at 3pm. Please note, no fireworks this year.
Spirit of Watsonville Neighborhood Parade
Explore the Spirit of Watsonville this July 4th! Map coming soon where you’ll be able to tour through decorated neighborhoods in the Watsonville community. Businesses, homes, and floats will be putting on the red, white and blue for the celebration!
