Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA – The Carmel Bach Festival (CBF) will present its 76th Annual Summer Festival,
July 13 – 27, 2013 in various venues throughout Carmel, Monterey, Pebble Beach and Salinas, California. This year’s festival features over 45 events including main series concerts, recitals performed on period instruments, and a Music and Ideas series.
Highlights include:
 The Festival debut of French-Canadian soprano Dominique LaBelle (www.dominiquelabelle.com), whose performances have “an almost alarming ferocity” – San Francisco Chronicle
 Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio in its entirety
 The world premiere of an orchestral work by Thea Musgrave (www.theamusgrave.com), based on the B.A.C.H. notation
 Four concerts performed at the famous Carmel Mission Basilica, currently celebrating the 300th Anniversary of Junipero Serra
