ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am Earns “Best Of” Award

Pebble Beach, CA…The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was honored last night with the “Best Product” award in recognition of Clint’s Saloon, a unique hospitality venue that debuted during the 2019 tournament at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The recognition was received at the PGA TOUR’s annual tournament meetings in Ponte Vedra, Florida. “On behalf of the PGA TOUR, I am thrilled to congratulate the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with a “Best Of” award for the 2018-19 PGA TOUR Season,” said Chief Tournaments and Competitions Officer Andy Pazder. “The Monterey Peninsula Foundation and AT&T should be extremely proud of their collaborative efforts and for being celebrated as top among their peers on TOUR.”

The “Best Product” award is presented to the tournament that best develops and implements a product that drives incremental revenue.

New in 2019, Clint’s Saloon, which was located off the third fairway of Pebble Beach, satisfied a demand for a mid-priced, shared hospitality ticket option, inclusive of food and beverage. Inspired by the classic Westerns synonymous with Clint Eastwood, the 2,400-square-foot hospitality suite included a single day ticket with general admission and access to the indoor/outdoor, with lunch, afternoon snacks, beer, wine, and cocktails included. The saloon-themed venue, which sold out Friday and Saturday of tournament week, featured elements of Eastwood’s movies, with a back-bar mirror, rustic wood finishes, mason jar chandeliers and swinging saloon doors.

“This recognition ‘made our day’,” said Steve John, CEO of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation. “We knew we had a winner on our hands when we dreamed up this concept. Not only did we pay homage to long-time Chairman of the Board, Clint Eastwood, we added an exciting and fans first venue to our outstanding tournament hospitality offerings.”
