Vegetation Fire Held To 6 Acres In San Ardo Oil Fields

Monterey, CA – Around 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, CAL FIRE received a call for a vegetation fire in the San Ardo oil fields, near the community of San Ardo (Monterey County). Upon arrival, the fire was approximately 2-3 acres in size. The fire was contained to 6 acres within 1.5 hours. The cause of the fire was a faulty electrical connection. There were no injuries as a result of this fire.
