Friends of Parks and Recreation (FOPAR) is offering scholarships for low-income residents of the City of Santa Cruz. FOPAR scholarship information. FOPAR scholarship applications are due January 21, 2014.
The new 52-page Winter-Spring Activity Guide features events and trips through May 2014 and includes advance news of exciting spring and summer programs at Harvey West Pool and at the beach including Jr. Guards. A new Camp Cruz for kids is being offered during spring break as well as a new basketball camp.
Special events in the guide include the 40th Annual Fungus Fair, January 10-12 at Louden Nelson Community Center, the 33rd Annual Clam Chowder Cook-off, Saturday, February 22 at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and an encore Jazz on the Wharf in honor of the Wharf’s 100th Anniversary on Sunday, March 16 at the Santa Cruz Wharf.
