Sacramento, CA…Board of Equalization Vice Chair George Runner issued the following statement regarding a deal reached by Democrats to raise the state excise tax on gasoline and increase vehicle registration fees:

“Leave it to elite, cosmopolitan Democrats to try and raise the gas tax on working-class and poor Californians who must travel further distances to work.”
