Early Morning Collision On North Rodeo Gulch Road

Santa Cruz, CA…On December 28th, 2016 at approximately 4:25 a.m. a thirty five year old Santa Cruz woman was driving a 2000 Toyota 4runner Northbound on North Rodeo Gulch Road, when her vehicle crossed over solid double lines into the oncoming traffic lane.

64 year old Randy Gossell from Soquel was driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra Southbound on North Rodeo Gulch Road, when the Toyota 4runner crossed directly into his path. The Tundra collided with the passenger side of the 4runner and both parties remained at scene until CHP and EMS personnel arrived. The 35 year old woman was given medical aid at the scene and later transported to Valley Medical Center to be treated for a head injury.

The cause of this collision is still under investigation. It is unknown as to whether drugs/or alcohol were contributing factors in this collision.
