Dylann Roof, Shooter In The Charleston Church Massacre Sentenced To Death ~ By Yvonne Dudley

Charleston, SC….Earlier today Dylann Storm Roof was unanimously sentenced to death by a jury of his peers as opposed to life imprisonment. Dylan roof is an avowed white supremacist who is responsible for murdering nine black church members in the Charleston Church shooting on June 17th, 2015 in hopes of starting a race war.

After a three hour deliberation the jury found Roof guilty of all charges. Roof’s trial began on December 7th, 2016 and he was found guilty of all 33 federal charges including the 18 charges that carry the death penalty only a week later on December 15th. Roof dismissed his attorneys for the sentencing phase of the trial and represented himself. Throughout the trial Roof showed no remorse for his actions and in a jailhouse manifesto wrote, I do not regret what I did, I am not sorry, I have not shed a tear for the innocent people I have killed.”

The sentencing hearing has been set for Wednesday January 11th where Judge Richard Gergel will formally sentence him.
